We have an exciting range of after-school and lunchtime clubs including football, guitar, choir, gymnastics, dance, netball, ballet, book club and art. The clubs are taken by teachers, teaching assistants as well as outside specialists. There are both fee-paying and free clubs and we work hard to ensure that all children have equality of access and opportunity in terms of this element of extra-curricular provision. Information about each term's clubs is sent to parents at the end of a preceding term/beginning of a new term. Next term clubs will start the week commencing 13th January 2020 and run for 9 sessions.

|Monday||Dance||3,4,5,6||Redz Street Dance are returning to Saxon this term and will be introducing their upbeat and energetic street dance classes. The dance classes will cover a range of urban styles including popping, locking, hip hop / house as well as incorporating Zumba moves with coordination and style. This club begins on 13th January and ends on 16th March.
This club will be run by Miss Dodd. At Art Club, we will be working on various art projects throughout the weeks. Exploring and developing our Art skills in drawing, painting, collage, clay and papier mâché! This club begins on 13th January and ends on 16th March.
|Monday||KS2 Arts and Crafts||3,4,5,6||Join Mrs Keane in Art and Crafts Club for the opportunity to design and make a range of different things such as pom poms, plasticine figures and origami animals. This club begins on 13th January and ends on 16th March.|
|Monday||KS1 Choir (Lunchtime - no charge)||R,1,2||Children from KS1 are invited to Join Miss Carruthers for KS1 choir on a Monday during the second half of lunchtime play. The choir will take place in the music studio and children will be learning a range of new songs to perform at various assemblies and other events throughout the year.|
|Tuesday||Gymnastics||1,2,3||Weybridge Gymnastic Coaches support in the developing and teaching of a range of floor techniques, including the element of performance. This club begins on 14th January and ends on 17th March.
|Tuesday||Ballet||R,1,2||Ballet Club will teach the children the basic movements of ballet and sequence their moves into a dance. This club begins on 14th January and ends on 24th March. Please note that there is no session on 21st January.
Children will learn simple chords and strumming patterns, building towards learning songs to play and perform. This club is suitable for guitar players of all abilities and children will also have the opportunity to borrow a guitar from school to practice at home. This club begins on 14th January and ends on 17th March.
|Tuesday||Book Club||126.96.36.199||Time to explore the magic of stories in the KS2 book club run by Miss Robinson. This is a club perfect for children who love engage their imagination through adventures in reading! This club begins on 14th January and ends on 17th March.|
|Tuesday||KS2 Choir||3,4,5,6||Children from KS2 are invited to Join Miss Carruthers for KS2 choir on a Tuesday during the second half of lunchtime play. The choir will take place in the music studio and children will be learning a range of songs from various genres for performances throughout the year both within the school and in the wider community.|
Mrs Lumb will be running this club which will give the children the time to find joy in a variety of games. They will need to take turns as they learn and develop skills needed to win or challenge in old favourites like snakes and ladders, Cluedo and Lego building. This club begins on 15th January and ends on 25th March. Please note that there is no session on 22nd
Mr Lumb will lead this fun and creative club for KS2 children. This club begins on 15th January and ends on 18th March.
Mr Lumb and Mr Allen will lead this club with a range of football drills and skills. Please note this club will go ahead even if it is raining so pack a waterproof and sensible shoes! This club begins on 16th January and ends on 19th March.
The children learn in a playful and enjoyable way to develop focus, build on self confidence and boost their health, wellbeing and physical development. The classes include various breathing techniques to manage different emotions, relaxation to calm busy minds and young nervous systems, storytelling, yoga poses, the beauty of nutrition through mindful food tasting, art and different games. Once techniques have been learnt they can be used anywhere at anytime to help them cope with various challenges. Above all, it is super fun! This club begins on 16th January and ends on 26th March. Please note that there is no session on 23rd January.
|Thursday||Netball||3,4,5,6||Mrs Nalder will lead netball club. This club will give pupils in Year 5 and 6 the opportunity to develop their understanding of the game and improve their key skills. We will focus on learning the rules of the game, passing, attack and defense and team work. This club begins on 16th January and ends on 19th March.|
|Thursday||Mindful Me Club||R,1,2||Miss Glaves will run this club which will give the children a chance to relax and take time to be reflective of their day. Children will be involved in activities such as yoga, mindfulness colouring, crafts and calming games. This club begins on 16th January and ends on 19th March.|
|Thursday||KS1 Sports||1,2||This sports club, led by Mr Waters, will keep you moving, jumping and bouncing! Improving important skills whilst playing a range of games and activities is so much fun! This club will always be held in the hall. This club begins on 16th January and ends on 19th March.|
|Friday||Stich n Sew||3,4,5,6||Time to get creative! Children to learn and improve their skills using a needle, thread and various material. Throughout the term children will need to engage their imaginations to see what they can create. This club begins on 17th January and ends on 27th March. Please note that there will be no session on 14th February.|
Membership of a club will cost £2.50 per session - unless stated 'No Charge'.
All clubs run from 3.15pm to 4.15pm. There will be no refund if your child misses a session.
